The award-winning, million-seller indie hit, Spintires®: The Original Game. As of this writing, two months after the delisting and with no official word from Oovee, it is questionable if Spintires will return to Steam once again. This post by user Unster is particularly succinct and includes links to the USPTO filings released to the public so far. Unfortunately, many of the details of these proceedings are confidential but users on the Oovee forums have compiled much of the factual information available. It would appear that their latest efforts have removed the original Spintires from Steam, either due to a new court ruling or a similar DMCA takedown claim filed with Valve. Thanks to a ruling in 2018, Saber dropped the name from its MudRunner titles but has continued to fight over the property. In 2017 Saber Interactive launched the spin-off title, MudRunner, and initially included ‘Spintires’ in the name. Oovee and Saber Interactive have long been embroiled in legal disputes over ownership of the Spintires property and usage of its name. The matter was settled at the time and the game returned to sale on August 15th, 2019 before being delisted again on January 4th, 2021.
Always nice to have some free official content though.Spintires was delisted and unavailable on Steam between August 1st and August 15th, 2019 after an “unverified individual from Russia” filed a DMCA takedown with Valve (original post deleted, reposted on Reddit). Still waiting for the ability to haul doubles, even though convoys are easy enough. I was hoping any DLC would branch out the content, such as polish trucks, a Siberia map or something other than logs to transport (ex: return of the highway trailer). The A-969 is getting "fuel canisters" I guess this will be our first scout with refueling capability, or maybe it will just function as an increased capacity fuel tank. There will be a new asset called "E-7429 trailer hitch", which makes it that much more intriguing. Maybe it has to do with the vehicles "special feature" or the new medium log cart. This is one of the most active communities dedicated to the Off-Road simulation game SpinTires. The best truck on the Workshop is, bar-none, the M1070. I'm wondering what "advanced trailer hitch for E-7429" means. If you managed to load the 12logs trailer you felt like a boss. IRL apperently very good off road but slow and not safe. ZAZ/LuAZ 969: a really weird looking duck with wheels car from the late 60's/early 70's. A nice truck from the late 80's, North Korea apperently uses them today MZKT-7429: an 8x8 tank transporter with modernized versions still in production by MZKT Looks like there will be some good stuff. Seven maps based on the beautiful harsh lands of Russia with physics-based trees, bushes and rocks. Physics vehicle simulation with deformable tires, wobbling body parts and detailed exhaust smoke. Ten highly detailed soviet inspired vehicles and trucks with various attachments. If I am understanding their post correctly, there will be some unique add-ons for these vehicles, including 2 trailers compatible with vehicles currently in the game. Moddable with Steam Workshop, create your own vehicles or maps. Last week a "free DLC" was announced, scheduled for February release.
